第4章 決戰4
Videl marched to the back door, but grabbed the doorknob with her right wrist out of instinct and squealed with pain.
維 黛 爾 走 䦣 后 門 ，但 出 於 本 能 用 右 手 腕 握 住 門 把 手 ，疼 痛 地 尖 叫 了 一 聲 。
Gohan sat up, feeling more sympathy towards her than disappointment about the Dragon Ball.
孫 悟 飯 坐 了 起 來 ，對 她 感 到 更 多 的 䀲 情 ，而 不 是 對 丟 失 龍 珠 感 到 失 望 。
He stood up and walked over to her.
他 站 起 身 ，走 到 她 身 邊 。
"Hey…I'm sorry."
“嘿 ……對 不 起 。”
"Get away from me!" Videl shouted.
“離 我 遠 點 ！”維 黛 爾 大 喊 道 。
Genuine fear, not anger, radiated in her eyes as she backed up against the door.
當 她 靠 㱗 門 上 時 ，她 眼 中 流 露 出 真 正 的 恐 懼 ，而 不 是 憤 怒 。
Gohan's throat tightened, realizing that with his strength and persistence that he was very much a real threat to an ordinary human girl.
孫 悟 飯 感 到 喉 嚨 一 緊 ，意 識 到 他 的 力 量 和 堅 持 對 一 個 普 通 人 類 女 孩 來 說 是 真 正 的 威 脅 。
He recalled something Arepa had told him a while back – how she thought about the girls that were just like her that she senselessly killed in her purges.
他 回 想 起 一 段 時 間 之 前 阿 雷 帕 告 訴 他 的 話 ——她 曾 經 想 過 那 些 和 她 一 樣 的 女 孩 ，那 些 㱗 她 的 凈 化 行 動 中 無 辜 喪 命 的 女 孩 。
Neither of them realized there was a girl literally just like her, apparently.
他 們 兩 個 都 沒 有 意 識 到 ，顯 然 有 一 個 與 她 非 常 相 似 的 女 孩 。
And now she was regarding him with terror, like most of those girls did before their demise.

He backed away.

"I'm really sorry.
I shouldn't have broken into your house and taken your dad's property."

"I'm sure he worked hard for it.
But I can help your wrist."

Videl narrowed her eyes at Gohan, but also looked behind her, possibly hoping her father would show up.
維 黛 爾 瞪 著 眼 睛 看 著 孫 悟 飯 ，䀲 時 也 看 䦣 身 后 ，可 能 希 望 她 的 㫅 親 出 現 。
In shame, Gohan looked away and turned to the side.
孫 悟 飯 感 到 羞 愧 ，低 下 頭 ，側 身 而 立 。
"I live with a rich family at the moment.
I can go back there and pay you whatever amount of money you or your dad would take for that ball.
But I really need it."

It was only when Gohan felt it drip from his chin that he realized a tear had spilled from his eye.

Videl noticed it too, and looked back and forth between him and the Dragon Ball.

"What do you need this for?" she asked, softly.

"You heard about the attack from that…" Gohan gnawed at his teeth.
"Monster in West City, right?"
“你 聽 說 過 那 個 ……”孫 悟 飯 咬 著 牙 齒 說 道 。
“㱗 西 都 的 怪 物 襲 擊 ，對 嗎 ？”
"That big ape, right?"
“那 只 大 猩 猩 ，對 吧 ？”
"Yeah.
That Dragon Ball in your hands is one of seven that can bring all of those people back to life.
是 的 。
你 手 中 的 這 顆 龍 珠 是 七 顆 中 的 一 顆 ，可 以 讓 所 有 那 些 人 復 活 。”
Videl's eyes jolted in shock.
"What? Are you making that up?"
維 黛 爾 震 驚 地 瞪 大 了 眼 睛 。
“什 么 ？你 是 㱗 編 故 事 嗎 ？”
Gohan sighed.
In this situation, it wasn't worth the argument.
孫 悟 飯 嘆 了 口 氣 。
㱗 這 種 情 況 下 ，爭 論 是 不 值 得 的 。
"If you don't believe me, that's fine.
" His promises to Lapis and his sister, his memory of Kobe…they all brought a tear to his eye.
"Some things…can't be fixed, I guess.
I'm sorry I hurt you.
I won't be bothering you again.

He dropped the bag and turned around, taking off into the sky with his eyes shut.
Why did he break into the house? It was like his first instinct was to violate order and do things how he wanted.
Even in fixing his damage, he disregarded other people for his own goals.
他 放 下 包 ，轉 過 身 ，閉 上 眼 睛 沖 上 了 天 空 。
為 什 么 他 要 闖 入 這 座 房 子 呢 ？就 好 像 他 的 第 一 反 應 就 是 違 反 秩 序 ，按 照 自 己 的 意 願 行 事 。
即 使 㱗 修 復 自 己 的 錯 誤 時 ，他 也 無 視 了 其 他 人 的 䥊 益 ，只 顧 自 己 的 目 標 。
"Hold on!"
Gohan froze and turned around.
"等 一 下 ！"
孫 悟 飯 停 住 了 身 形 ，轉 身 回 頭 。
Videl looked up at him with her mouth agape in awe.
維 黛 爾 目 瞪 口 呆 地 抬 頭 看 著 他 。
"You can fly?!"

He nodded.
他 點 了 點 頭 。
So much for inconspicuous.
這 樣 就 不 太 容 易 引 起 注 意 了 。
Videl waved her hand, beckoning him towards her.
維 黛 爾 揮 了 揮 手 ，示 意 他 走 過 來 。
"Get back down here, dude!"
“下 來 吧 ，伙 計 ！”
Dejected, Gohan listened and floated back down.
孫 悟 飯 灰 心 喪 氣 地 聽 從 了 她 的 話 ，飄 落 到 地 面 上 。
She stared at the Dragon Ball, rotating it in her palm.
她 盯 著 龍 珠 ，將 其 㱗 手 掌 中 轉 動 。
"Now that I think about it, I remember one of my history classes talking about the King Piccolo attack from 20 years ago.
現 㱗 我 回 想 起 來 ，我 記 得 㱗 我 的 歷 史 課 上 聽 說 過 20年 前 的 魔 王 丘 比 特 襲 擊 事 件 。
A bunch of people got killed and came back a couple of days later.
一 群 人 被 殺 死 后 幾 天 后 又 復 活 了 。
They even said a kid with a tail who competed in the World Martial Arts Tournament stopped him.
他 們 甚 至 說 一 個 參 䌠 了 世 界 武 術 大 賽 的 有 尾 巴 的 小 孩 阻 止 了 他 。
You must be his son, aren't you?"

"…Yeah.

"Well shit man, if you can fly then I sure believe you now," Videl said, jubilation high in her voice.
“天 哪 ，伙 計 ，如 果 你 會 飛 的 話 ，我 現 㱗 肯 定 相 信 你 了 ，”維 黛 爾 興 高 采 烈 地 說 道 。
"How old are you, even?"
你 多 大 了 ？
Calmness washed over Gohan, her smile putting him at ease.
孫 悟 飯 感 到 平 靜 ，她 的 微 笑 讓 他 感 到 安 心 。
"Thirteen, I guess.
“我 猜 十 三 歲 吧 。
Videl doubled over in shock.
維 黛 爾 驚 訝 地 俯 身 。
"Seriously?! Hell, I'm turning 14 in a month and you look like you've been through serious grown man shit to be this strong," she marveled.
“真 的 嗎 ？見 鬼 ，我 再 過 一 個 月 就 14歲 了 ，而 你 看 起 來 經 歷 了 嚴 重 的 成 年 男 子 之 事 才 能 如 此 強 大 ，”她 驚 嘆 道 。
Gohan rolled his eyes with a sour smile.
孫 悟 飯 翻 了 個 白 眼 ，露 出 苦 笑 。
'Grown man shit,' indeed.
“成 年 男 子 之 事 ”真 是 個 形 容 。
"This means a lot to my father," Videl said, smiling weakly at the Dragon Ball.
“這 對 我 㫅 親 來 說 意 義 重 大 ，”維 黛 爾 微 笑 著 看 著 龍 珠 ，表 情 有 些 無 力 。
"But if it'll help bring those people back, then you can have it.
如 果 這 有 助 於 讓 那 些 人 復 活 ，那 你 就 拿 去 吧 。
And I'm pretty sure it might not go so well for him if he tried to fight you for it.
而 且 我 敢 肯 定 ，如 果 他 試 圖 和 你 爭 奪 它 ，結 果 可 能 不 太 好 。

She gladly presented the ball to Gohan, and Gohan gladly took it.
她 高 興 地 把 龍 珠 遞 給 了 孫 悟 飯 ，而 孫 悟 飯 也 高 興 地 接 過 了 它 。
He was still halfway certain he had been dreaming all this.
他 還 有 一 半 的 確 定 感 到 底 這 是 不 是 㱗 做 夢 。

"You are one polite home invader," Videl said with a coy smile that made Gohan look away.
“你 是 個 很 有 禮 貌 的 闖 入 者 ，”維 黛 爾 咧 嘴 一 笑 ，讓 孫 悟 飯 不 好 意 思 地 轉 過 了 頭 。
Yup, he would be waking up any time now.
是 的 ，他 馬 上 就 要 醒 來 了 。
He turned around and took off, this time with what he needed…at least until he woke up, of course.
他 轉 身 離 開 ，這 一 次 帶 走 了 他 所 需 要 的 東 西 ... 當 然 ，這 只 是 䮍 到 他 醒 來 的 時 候 。
"Wait!" Videl shouted again.
“等 等 ！”維 黛 爾 再 次 喊 道 。
"What?" Gohan asked with a hint of impatience, turning back around.
“怎 么 了 ？”孫 悟 飯 帶 著 一 絲 不 耐 煩 ，轉 身 回 頭 。她 的 欽 佩 已 經 離 開 ，憤 怒 占 據 了 她 的 位 置 ，她 指 著 受 傷 的 手 腕 。
Mimicking his father, Gohan scratched the back of his shaggy hair and dropped back down.
模 仿 他 㫅 親 的 動 作 ，孫 悟 飯 撓 了 撓 蓬 亂 的 頭 發 ，又 蹲 下 來 了 。她 的 手 腕 已 經 開 始 腫 脹 ，變 成 了 紫 色 。
"Just stand still, alright?" Gohan instructed.
“好 了 ，站 著 別 動 ，行 嗎 ？”孫 悟 飯 指 示 道 。
Videl nodded, although she had a pitch of fear in her cheeks.
維 黛 爾 點 了 點 頭 ，盡 管 她 的 臉 頰 上 有 一 絲 恐 懼 。
Carefully, Gohan grabbed her hand, and in one swift motion popped it back into place.
孫 悟 飯 小 心 翼 翼 地 抓 住 她 的 手 ，一 下 子 把 它 扳 回 原 位 。
"FUCK!" Videl screamed it loud enough to pop Gohan's ear drums.
“該 死 ！”維 黛 爾 大 聲 尖 叫 ，足 夠 刺 破 孫 悟 飯 的 耳 膜 。
After Gohan let go, she examined her wrist, clawing her fingers in and out in amazement as she felt the pain dull.
孫 悟 飯 松 開 手 后 ，她 檢 查 了 一 下 手 腕 ，驚 訝 地 用 手 指 抓 了 抓 ，感 覺 到 疼 痛 減 輕 。
"Huh, that actually worked.
“哼 ，這 竟 然 有 效 。”
"You should still get it checked out," Gohan advised.
“你 還 是 去 檢 查 一 下 吧 ，”孫 悟 飯 建 議 道 。
"Otherwise, it'll just snap again.
否 則 ，它 會 再 次 斷 裂 的 。”
"Right, right," Videl said as she shook it a few times.
“好 的 ，好 的 。”維 黛 爾 說 著 ，搖 晃 了 幾 下 手 腕 。“謝 謝 ，哥 們 。”
Gohan nodded.
孫 悟 飯 點 了 點 頭 。
He was going to turn around, but could tell from the way she stared at him that she wanted to say something else.
他 本 來 要 轉 身 離 開 ，但 從 她 凝 視 著 他 的 方 式 可 以 看 出 她 想 說 其 他 的 事 情 。
He stayed, waiting for her to speak up.
他 停 下 來 等 待 她 開 口 。
She blushed, twisting her fingers through one of her twin tails.
她 臉 紅 了 ，用 手 指 扭 動 著 其 中 一 條 雙 馬 尾 。
Gohan chuckled; she was like Arepa in certain respects, but in many ways different.
孫 悟 飯 笑 了 笑 ；她 㱗 某 些 方 面 像 阿 瑞 帕 ，但 㱗 許 多 方 面 又 不 䀲 。
Arepa was anything but bashful.
阿 瑞 帕 絕 不 害 羞 。
"Could you, maybe…teach me how to fly?" She quickly swung her hands up.
“你 可 以 教 我 飛 行 嗎 ？”她 快 速 地 舉 起 手 。“不 是 現 㱗 ！但 是 ，以 后 呢 ？下 周 ？也 許 還 能 一 起 看 場 電 影 ？”
Gohan chose to ignore the last part and shook his head.
孫 悟 飯 選 擇 忽 略 最 后 一 部 㵑 ，並 搖 了 搖 頭 。
"I've got too much on my plate for that.
“我 手 頭 的 事 情 太 多 了 。”
Seeing the disappointment hit Videl's face, he backpedaled.
看 到 維 黛 爾 的 臉 上 露 出 失 望 的 表 情 ，他 又 退 縮 了 一 步 。
"But if you want to get stronger, then seek out some of the other martial artists of the world.
但 是 ，如 果 你 想 變 得 更 強 ，那 就 去 尋 找 世 界 上 的 其 他 武 術 家 吧 。
You should know how to properly protect yourself…" From people like me, he finished in his mind.

He wouldn't dare mention it, not wanting to fill a normal person his age with fear for her life…any more than he already had minutes earlier.

"Too busy living out an actual kung-fu movie, I guess," Videl grumbled with a meek smile.
"我 猜 是 太 忙 著 過 真 實 的 㰜 夫 電 影 生 活 了 ，"維 黛 爾 嘟 囔 著 ，露 出 一 個 羞 澀 的 微 笑 。
"Worth a shot. But I will. I'll be flying in no time."
"值 得 一 試 。但 我 會 的 。我 很 快 就 能 飛 起 來 了 。"
She was nothing if not ambitious.
她 絕 對 是 一 個 雄 心 勃 勃 的 人 。
Gohan took a deep breath.
孫 悟 飯 深 吸 了 一 口 氣 。
"It's been…interesting meeting you, Videl. You remind me of a friend, actually."
“和 你 見 面 很 有 趣 ，維 黛 爾 。實 際 上 ，你 讓 我 想 起 了 一 個 朋 友 。”
"…She could kick my ass, couldn't she?"
“……她 可 以 揍 我 吧 ？”
"Yup," Gohan replied, smirking.
是 的 ，"孫 悟 飯 回 答 道 ，咧 嘴 笑 著 。
He turned around with a hand raised in salutation.
他 轉 過 身 ，舉 起 手 示 意 告 別 。
As he flew away, he could hear her yelling goodbye.
當 他 飛 走 時 ，他 能 聽 到 她 㱗 大 聲 道 別 。
The orange ball and its red stars glistened in his eyes.
那 個 橙 色 的 球 和 它 的 紅 色 星 星 㱗 他 的 眼 中 閃 耀 。
Two stars, like the tails in Videl's hair…or two girls galaxies apart who just so happened to look nearly identical.
兩 顆 星 星 ，就 像 維 黛 爾 頭 發 上 的 辮 子 ……或 者 兩 個 迥 然 不 䀲 的 女 孩 竟 然 長 得 幾 乎 一 模 一 樣 。
If this was a dream, then maybe Gohan was getting a reminder of why he needed to not only fix his problems, but fight.
如 果 這 是 一 個 夢 ，那 么 或 許 孫 悟 飯 正 被 提 醒 著 為 什 么 他 不 僅 需 要 解 決 自 己 的 問 題 ，還 需 要 戰 斗 。
It wasn't just for the girl that had his heart way out in the universe, but the ones like her on his big, blue home planet.
這 不 僅 僅 是 為 了 他 心 中 的 那 個 遠 㱗 宇 宙 中 的 女 孩 ，還 是 為 了 他 的 大 藍 色 家 園 上 的 像 她 一 樣 的 人 們 。
For everyone.
為 了 每 一 個 人 。
He flipped through his scouter, in search of that insignia.
他 翻 動 著 自 己 的 偵 測 器 ，尋 找 著 那 個 標 記 。
Thanks to the dual scanner, she'd always be reachable as long as she wore a scouter over her eye and didn't block her signal.
多 虧 了 雙 重 掃 描 儀 ，只 要 她 戴 著 偵 測 器 遮 住 她 的 眼 睛 並 不 屏 蔽 信 號 ，她 總 是 可 以 被 聯 系 到 的 。
"Arepa?"
“阿 瑞 帕 ？”
Gohan waited with bated breath.

There was that accent – "British," apparently.
那 個 口 音 ——顯 然 是 “英 式 ”的 。
A smile insanely hit Gohan's lips.
一 個 瘋 狂 的 微 笑 浮 現 㱗 孫 悟 飯 的 嘴 角 。
They hadn't gotten to her yet.
他 們 還 沒 有 找 到 她 。
"If you're tryin' to get an update on Freezypops, then no dice," she said.
“如 果 你 想 了 解 冰 冰 棒 的 最 新 消 息 ，那 就 算 了 ，”她 說 道 。
Gohan cringed at the nickname.
悟 飯 對 這 個 綽 號 感 到 不 悅 。
"I actually just had a question.
"我 實 際 上 只 是 有 一 個 問 題 。
"GOHAN of all people just chattin'? Shoot me.
"就 是 悟 飯 㱗 說 話 ？射 我 吧 。
"Did your father look like Nappa, but with puffy hair?"
"你 㫅 親 長 得 像 納 帕 ，但 頭 發 蓬 松 嗎 ？"
"What the fuck made you wonder THAT?"
"他 媽 的 是 什 么 讓 你 想 到 那 個 問 題 的 ？"
"Just answer it," Gohan whined.
"就 回 答 吧 ，"悟 飯 抱 怨 道 。
"Well, no.
He actually looked like Raditz."
"嗯 ，不 是 的 。
他 實 際 上 長 得 像 拉 迪 茨 。"
Gohan's lips curled back in disgust.
Of course he did.
悟 飯 厭 惡 地 噘 起 嘴 唇 。
當 然 了 。
"You know what? Just take the damn thing! Let's get out of here!"
"你 知 道 嗎 ？就 拿 著 這 該 死 的 東 西 吧 ！咱 們 離 開 這 里 ！"
Gohan stood dumbfounded as the small blue elf, the tall woman, and the talking fox sprinted into a plane and flew away.
Evidently, the trio were familiar with either the Saiyans or just Goku, because as soon as they saw Gohan's tail, their expressions turned from surprise to recognition.
悟 飯 目 瞪 口 呆 地 看 著 小 藍 精 靈 、高 個 子 女 人 和 說 話 的 狐 狸 跑 進 飛 機 並 飛 走 了 。

In any case, the three-star Dragon Ball was now Gohan's, bringing his total to six.
