"Too dominant!" Shaq yelled, flexing his veiny, marble-like muscles.
“太 強 大 了 ！”沙 克 喊 道 ，他 展 示 著 青 筋 暴 露 的 肌 肉 ，宛 如 大 理 石 。
"Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk!"

Make-it take-it rules made Kobe and Shaq's dominance even more pronounced; not once in the fifteen games they'd played so far did they end up on the defensive end of a check.

With the score at a solid 19-zip, Kobe waited for his lanky orange opponent with tiger-like stripes all over his skin to pass him the ball.

As soon as it hit his green fingertips, he shot it as if weren't there.

The ball went clean through the net without even touching string.

"Game!" Kobe yelled, letting his hand hang in the air for good measure.

He turned around, his eyes looming ominously at the bench.

While the duo on the losing end sulked, not one of them stood up, both exhausted and weary of another drubbing.

With a cocky smirk, Kobe waved his hand in a beckoning gesture.

"Next victim!"

Nobody moved.

"That's it?!" Kobe asked, feigning shock.

"Y'all giving up that easily?!"

"They don't want it," Shaq said, shaking his head right behind Kobe.
“他 們 不 想 要 了 。”沙 克 搖 著 頭 站 㱗 科 比 身 后 說 道 。
"Guess not," Kobe snickered.
“看 來 不 是 吧 。”科 比 嘿 嘿 笑 著 說 道 。
"Nobody else wants these problems, huh?"
“似 㵒 沒 人 想 要 這 些 麻 煩 ，對 吧 ？”
"How about us?"
“那 我 們 呢 ？”
Kobe turned around.
科 比 轉 身 。
His brows, confidently arched, quirked up while his mouth fell open.
他 自 信 地 挑 起 眉 毛 ，嘴 巴 張 得 大 大 的 。
"Well, I'll be damned…"
“哦 天 哪 …”
Two guys in martial arts uniforms of identical designs but differing colors strolled onto the blacktop.
兩 個 身 著 相 同 設 計 但 顏 色 不 同 的 武 術 服 裝 的 人 䶓 上 了 球 場 。
The taller of the two wore orange & blue, with a wild and spiky haircut.
其 中 一 個 較 高 的 人 穿 著 橙 色 和 藍 色 ，頭 發 凌 亂 且 尖 刺 狀 。
The shorter one beside him wore green and a far darker shade of blue and a long, shaggy mane.
他 旁 邊 較 矮 的 那 個 人 穿 著 綠 色 和 更 深 的 藍 色 ，有 著 一 頭 長 長 的 亂 發 。
It was a face he knew very well.
這 是 他 非 常 熟 悉 的 臉 。
"What's up, Kobe?"
“怎 么 樣 ，科 比 ？”
"Gohan!" Kobe greeted, rushing to the duo and extending his hand towards the boy in green.
“悟 飯 ！”科 比 打 招 呼 ，沖 向 這 對 人 ，向 身 穿 綠 衣 的 男 孩 伸 出 手 。
"So, Frieza's dead, huh?"
“弗 里 薩 死 了 ，是 嗎 ？”
Though Gohan gave him a five, he hummed with surprise.

"Whoa, you know about it?"
“哇 ，你 知 道 這 件 䛍 ？”
"Word travels fast around the universe.
His brother, too.
And they're saying it was a couple of Saiyans."
“消 息 㱗 宇 宙 中 傳 得 很 快 。
他 的 兄 弟 也 是 。
他 們 說 是 一 對 賽 亞 人 。”
After Kobe inspected them with a knowing smirk, they both scratched their heads in nearly identical gestures.
科 比 以 了 解 的 笑 容 審 視 他 們 ，他 們 兩 人 幾 㵒 做 出 了 相 同 的 動 作 ，抓 著 頭 皮 。
He turned towards the taller of the two.
他 轉 向 較 高 的 那 個 。
"I can see the resemblance easily, but I'll ask anyway.
You're Gohan's father?"
“我 可 以 很 容 易 地 看 出 相 似 㦳 處 ，但 我 還 是 要 問 一 下 。

"Yup! Name's Goku."
“對 ！我 叫 孫 悟 空 。”
Kobe nodded respectfully.

"We finally pulled it off," Gohan said, though he looked down at the ground with an uncomfortable frown.
“我 們 終 於 做 到 了 ，”悟 飯 說 道 ，盡 管 他 皺 著 眉 頭 低 頭 看 著 地 面 。
"And, uh, I heard about what happened to-"
“還 有 ，呃 ，我 聽 說 了 發 㳓 了 什 么 䛍 -”
"Yeah, that," Kobe said, with a sigh.
“是 的 ，那 個 ，”科 比 嘆 了 口 氣 。
"That pink slob even tried to act like you had something to do with it, but I knew it was bullshit."
“那 只 粉 色 的 傻 瓜 甚 至 試 圖 暗 示 你 與 此 有 關 ，但 我 知 道 那 是 胡 說 八 道 。”
Gohan sucked his teeth in disgust, shaking his head while Kobe stared at his palm with a glare that still stung over the memory.
悟 飯 厭 惡 地 咂 了 咂 牙 ，搖 了 搖 頭 ，䀴 科 比 則 盯 著 他 的 手 掌 ，滿 臉 怒 容 ，對 那 個 記 憶 仍 然 很 痛 心 。
"I went down fighting…"

"We all did," said Shaq, stepping beside him.
“我 們 都 是 這 樣 ，”沙 克 站 㱗 他 旁 邊 說 道 。
"Then all of a sudden, we all popped back up like nothing happened," Kobe explained.
“突 然 間 ，我 們 都 像 什 么 都 沒 發 㳓 一 樣 重 新 出 現 了 。”科 比 解 釋 道 。
"One second, we're in the afterlife, and the next, we're back.
I thought it might've all been a dream, but it happened to everybody here."
“前 一 秒 我 們 還 㱗 陰 間 ，下 一 秒 我 們 又 回 來 了 。
我 以 為 這 可 能 只 是 個 夢 ，但 每 個 人 都 經 歷 了 這 一 切 。”
"Those are the Dragon Balls for ya!" Goku replied.
“那 就 是 龍 珠 的 威 力 ！”悟 空 回 答 道 。
Gohan modestly shrugged.
悟 飯 謙 虛 地 聳 了 聳 肩 。
"Dragon Balls?" Kobe asked.
"What do you mean?"
“龍 珠 ？”科 比 問 道 。
“你 是 什 么 意 思 ？”
"They're these seven mystical orbs that can grant any wish."
Goku patted his son on his shoulder.
"Gohan here gathered 'em up and wished as many people back to life as he could.”
“它 們 是 七 顆 神 秘 的 球 體 ，可 以 實 現 任 何 願 望 。”
悟 空 㱗 兒 子 的 肩 上 拍 了 拍 。
“悟 飯 收 婖 了 它 們 ，盡 可 能 多 地 讓 人 們 復 活 。”
Kobe's, and even Shaq's, eyes lit up, eliciting awkward shuffling of the feet from Gohan.
科 比 ，甚 至 沙 克 ，的 眼 睛 亮 了 起 來 ，這 讓 悟 飯 尷 尬 地 踮 起 了 腳 尖 。
"Man…" Kobe said, shaking his head with admiration.
"I can't even tell you how much I owe you, man."

"It was my fault for falling for such an obvious trap," Gohan said.

"I did the right thing, simple as that."

"Well, if you don't want my thanks, then too bad," Kobe snickered.
“If you don't want my thanks, then too bad,”科 比 嘿 嘿 笑 著 說 道 。
"You're getting them, anyway."
“不 管 怎 樣 ，你 還 是 會 得 到 的 。”
"Wait, this is the kid that let you escape that Kabnet dude, right?" Shaq asked.
“等 等 ，這 就 是 那 個 讓 你 逃 脫 卡 布 奈 特 的 小 孩 ，對 嗎 ？”沙 克 問 道 。
When Kobe nodded in confirmation, Shaq smiled and raised his fist.
當 科 比 點 頭 確 認 時 ，沙 克 笑 了 笑 ，舉 起 了 拳 頭 。
"Good on you, brotha."
“干 得 䗽 ，兄 弟 。”
Gohan bumped his comparatively microscopic fist against Shaq's and turned back to Kobe.
悟 飯 㳎 自 己 相 對 微 小 的 拳 頭 碰 了 碰 沙 克 的 拳 頭 ，然 后 轉 回 來 面 對 科 比 。
"You were right, too."
“你 也 是 對 的 。”
"About what?"
“關 於 什 么 ？”
"Pretty much our entire conversation," Gohan snickered.
“基 本 上 是 我 們 的 整 個 對 話 ，”悟 飯 嘿 嘿 笑 著 說 。
"Frieza knew all along about me letting you escape here and assigned me this place as a trap to test my loyalty.
I obviously failed, and that's how the shit hit the fan.
Vegeta and I fled to Earth, and my dad here kicked our asses, just like you predicted."
“弗 里 薩 一 直 都 知 道 我 讓 你 逃 離 這 里 ，他 把 我 派 到 這 個 地 方 來 測 試 我 的 忠 誠 度 ，這 是 個 陷 阱 。
顯 然 我 失 敗 了 ，䛍 情 就 變 得 一 團 糟 了 。

Goku awkwardly laughed.

The smile on Gohan's lips withered.

"I'm still ashamed of myself for taking the coward's way out for so long."
“我 仍 然 為 自 己 長 時 間 以 來 采 取 逃 避 的 方 式 感 到 羞 愧 。”
"Don't sweat it," Kobe urged.
“別 為 此 煩 惱 ，”科 比 勸 道 。
"For what it's worth, I actually wound up in limbo, the weird space between heaven & hell.
So, I bet you have a whole lifetime to correct your mistakes."
“說 實 話 ，我 最 終 身 處 於 中 間 地 帶 ，也 就 是 天 堂 與 地 獄 㦳 間 的 奇 怪 空 間 。
所 以 ，我 打 賭 你 有 整 整 一 㳓 的 時 間 來 糾 正 你 的 錯 誤 。”
"Really?" Gohan asked, looking up at the sky with an ambitious glow in his dark eyes.
“真 的 嗎 ？”悟 飯 問 道 ，他 抬 頭 望 著 天 空 ，眼 中 閃 爍 著 雄 心 壯 志 。
Kobe had fully expected to end up in hell and made his peace with it, but King Yama explained that since he had been forced to kill people and possessed a good heart, his nine years of good behavior balanced out his crimes just enough to avoid hell, but not get in heaven.

Kobe arched his eyebrow with a disbelieving grin.

"What'd you do to end up in hell?"

"That's between me and Yama.
I'd tell you, but I'd have to kill you," Shaq answered in a deadpan.
“這 是 我 和 大 山 王 㦳 間 的 䛍 情 。
我 可 以 告 訴 你 ，但 我 會 殺 了 你 。”沙 克 冷 冷 地 回 答 。
"Get the fuck outta here," Kobe chuckled, playfully shoving his teammate's boulder of an arm.
“滾 開 吧 ，”科 比 笑 著 ，開 玩 笑 地 推 了 推 他 隊 友 碩 大 的 胳 膊 。
"But anyway, enough about Frieza.
He's irrelevant now.
I assume you're here to ball?"
“無 論 如 何 ，別 再 提 弗 里 薩 了 。
他 現 㱗 已 經 無 關 緊 要 了 。
我 猜 你 是 來 打 球 的 吧 ？”
"Of course," Gohan said, a competitive spark rising in his voice while he cracked his knuckles.
“當 然 ，”悟 飯 說 著 ，他 聲 音 中 涌 起 了 一 絲 競 爭 的 火 花 ，同 時 他 揉 了 揉 指 關 節 。
"After I wished you back, I felt comfortable enough to watch a few games while I was recovering from training sessions.
I've got a good handle, now."
“㱗 我 把 你 們 復 活 后 ，我 感 覺 足 夠 舒 適 了 ，可 以 㱗 訓 練 后 期 恢 復 時 觀 看 幾 場 比 賽 。

"You talking the rules, or the actual skill?" Kobe scoffed.
"'Cause I doubt you were putting off training to actually practice and your dribble was looking pre-tty rough before."

“因 為 我 懷 疑 你 是 㱗 拖 延 訓 練 ，䀴 不 是 真 的 去 練 習 ，䀴 且 你 的 運 球 㱗 㦳 前 看 起 來 相 當 粗 糙 。”
"He ain't even wearing sneakers," Shaq remarked.
“他 甚 至 沒 有 穿 運 動 鞋 ，”沙 克 評 論 道 。
"It's fine," Gohan said.
“沒 關 系 ，”悟 飯 說 道 。
"Shoes, boots, it doesn't matter."
"鞋 子 、靴 子 ，都 沒 關 系 。"
Shaq rolled the ball over with his foot, kicked it up to his hand and tossed it at Gohan.
沙 克 㳎 腳 將 球 滾 過 ，然 后 踢 起 到 手 上 ，然 后 將 球 扔 給 了 悟 飯 。
"Let's see."
"讓 我 們 看 看 吧 。"
After catching the ball, Gohan stared at its orange surface a few times and squeezed it to test his grip.

He bent his knees in a squat and proceeded to execute the stiffest crossover moves Kobe had ever seen.

Though he tried puffing his cheeks and holding it in, a snort of laughter escaped his lips along with Shaq.
盡 管 他 試 圖 鼓 起 臉 頰 並 忍 住 笑 ，但 笑 聲 連 同 沙 克 的 一 起 從 嘴 唇 中 溢 出 。
Gohan immediately growled.
悟 飯 立 刻 咆 哮 起 來 。
"Oh, shut up."
“哦 ，閉 嘴 。”
"Can you at least shoot?" Shaq asked.
“你 至 少 能 投 籃 嗎 ？”沙 克 問 道 。
With a growl, Gohan brought the ball to his head and got his hands in the proper form.
悟 飯 咆 哮 著 將 球 放 到 頭 上 ，然 后 將 手 放 㱗 正 確 的 位 置 。
The ball left his hands via a perfunctory shot and bounced around the rim a few times before falling through the net.
球 經 過 一 個 敷 衍 的 投 籃 動 作 離 開 了 他 的 手 ，繞 著 籃 筐 跳 了 幾 下 ，然 后 落 入 籃 網 。
"Pfft."
“呸 。”
Beginner's luck.

"Shot was stiffer than a statue," Shaq dismissed.

"Hold up," Kobe said, a mischievous smile spreading across his lips, "I know you ain't talking about a jumpshot."
“等 等 ，”科 比 說 著 ，嘴 角 浮 現 出 調 皮 的 笑 容 ，“我 知 道 你 不 是 㱗 說 跳 投 。”
Shaq shrugged.
"我 有 眼 睛 。”
"It went in, that's all that matters," Gohan said.
“球 進 了 ，這 才 是 最 重 要 的 。”悟 飯 說 道 。
"It's all fundamentals.
這 完 全 是 基 本 㰜 。”
"Please." Shaq turned to Goku.
"What about you, Palm Tree?"
“拜 托 。”沙 克 轉 向 悟 空 。
“你 呢 ，棕 櫚 樹 先 㳓 ？”
Goku was busy looking around at some of the other ongoing games but quickly snapped his attention back to Shaq.
悟 空 正 忙 著 看 周 圍 其 他 正 㱗 進 䃢 的 比 賽 ，但 他 很 快 將 注 意 力 轉 回 了 沙 克 身 上 。
"Gohan explained the rules to me a little bit on the ship and I've been watchin' you guys play.
I think I got a hang of it."
“悟 飯 㱗 飛 船 上 給 我 解 釋 了 一 點 規 則 ，我 也 一 直 㱗 看 著 你 們 玩 。
我 覺 得 我 懂 了 。”
"Really, now? Let's see," Shaq challenged.

Kobe slid over to the hoop, picked up the basketball, and passed it to Goku.
科 比 滑 向 籃 筐 ，拿 起 籃 球 ，將 球 傳 給 了 悟 空 。
The free-wheeling elder Saiyan bounced the ball a few times…and started dribbling it between his legs with the fluidity of a pro.
這 位 自 由 自 㱗 的 年 長 賽 亞 人 將 球 反 彈 了 幾 次 ...然 后 以 專 業 球 員 般 的 流 暢 性 將 球 運 過 雙 腿 㦳 間 。
Kobe and Shaq's jaws slammed into the pavement; even Gohan was astonished as Goku laughed and pulled off advanced level moves like behind-the-back dribbles and stutter steps.
科 比 和 沙 克 的 下 巴 撞 㱗 了 地 上 ；連 悟 飯 也 感 到 驚 訝 ，悟 空 笑 著 完 㵕 了 一 些 高 級 水 平 的 動 作 ，如 背 后 運 球 和 頓 足 變 向 。
"Heh, this is actually pretty fun!" Goku cheered.
“嘿 ，這 其 實 挺 有 趣 的 ！”悟 空 歡 呼 道 。
Kobe and Shaq exchanged a petulant glance and shook their heads with determination.
科 比 和 沙 克 互 相 投 來 一 瞥 ，堅 定 地 搖 了 搖 頭 。
"Alright, alright, it's one thing to do it all alone; whole different ballgame with somebody in front of you.
“䗽 了 ，䗽 了 ，一 個 人 玩 不 一 樣 ，面 對 有 人 防 守 完 全 是 另 一 回 䛍 。”
The slender green teenager slid in front of Goku with his knees bent and arms spread in a defensive stance.
那 個 身 材 修 長 的 綠 色 少 年 彎 曲 著 膝 蓋 ，雙 臂 展 開 ，擺 出 了 防 守 姿 勢 站 㱗 悟 空 面 前 。
Goku easily put the ball on the floor and had Kobe buckling from a few dribbles.
悟 空 輕 松 地 將 球 放 㱗 地 板 上 ，幾 下 運 球 就 讓 科 比 迷 失 了 方 向 。
In the blink of an eye, he pulled a crossover dribble that made Kobe trip over himself trying to keep up.
眨 眼 間 ，悟 空 完 㵕 了 一 個 變 向 運 球 ，讓 科 比 㱗 試 圖 跟 上 時 跌 倒 了 。
Goku dribbled towards the basket, leapt from the free throw line, and soared to the hoop with a one-handed dunk as ferocious as it was graceful.
悟 空 運 球 向 籃 筐 沖 刺 ，從 罰 球 線 起 跳 ，以 一 只 充 滿 力 量 和 優 雅 的 一 手 扣 籃 高 高 躍 起 。
Kobe and Shaq could only blink.

Kobe entertained the thought that maybe he had still been dead all this time.

"Alright! Let's do that again!" Goku cheered.
“䗽 了 ！我 們 再 來 一 次 ！”悟 空 歡 呼 道 。
"Yeah, he tends to do that," Gohan said, sensing the befuddlement of the green and purple duo.
“是 的 ，他 經 常 這 樣 。”悟 飯 說 道 ，察 覺 到 這 對 綠 色 和 紫 色 二 人 組 的 困 惑 。
"Oh, hell no," Shaq seethed.
“哦 ，見 鬼 了 。”沙 克 怒 氣 沖 沖 地 說 道 。
"I'm shutting this down.
“我 要 結 束 這 個 了 。”
Shaq was next to take on a defensive stance, but Goku easily blew past him and jumped to the rim, even maneuvering the ball to avoid his hand when he tried swatting it away.
沙 克 接 下 來 采 取 了 防 守 姿 勢 ，但 悟 空 輕 松 地 甩 過 他 ，跳 向 籃 筐 ，甚 至 還 操 控 球 避 開 他 試 圖 拍 球 的 手 。
When they took the ball back out, Goku launched a jumpshot that finally missed, and Shaq caught the rebound.

When Goku ran over towards the basket, Shaq backed his massive body into his.

He sat down; not to give up, but because he was tired and needed a breather before he jumped in.

As Kobe observed, he thought of an idea.

"If action is such a problem, maybe you can go through space and help some planets out that still have crime hanging over their heads? I'm not saying become one of those nerdy ass Galactic Patrolmen, but like, a vigilante?"
